Our Process

Initial Consultation

One of our reps will come by your home to walk the yard, measure the outdoor space, and talk about your design ideas and budget. If a design is needed, they will go over the design process and provide you with a design quote.


We will match you with the right landscape designer and begin designing your landscape. You will be able to make revisions along the way until you are fully satisfied with your design. The final installation price will be established once your esign is complete.


Once your final landscaping design and pricing are established we will sign the contract, pull all permits necessary for your project, and get started building. Our team will have set deadlines, and meet them accordingly along the way until your project is done!

Yard Checks

And last but not least, yard checks! Yard checks are one of the things that separate us from the rest! Once your project is complete our maintenance director will come by for yard checks to make sure everything looks good, is working properly, and that you are fully satisfied.

How Much Does A Landscaping Project Cost?

You probably already know that the price for a landscaping project can vary depending on the scope of work and the materials you choose.
Companies that comply with California and federal laws will have all their required licensing, insurance, taxes, bookkeeping, and payroll policies in place. This is often a main factor between a cheap bid and a more expensive one. With that said, you can expect a landscape project from a qualified company to start around $10/sq ft.

Most projects also require a landscape design. If you don’t already have one, we provide this service. The design fee is a starting rate of $750+. The design fee will be established at your first consultation based on what your design will require. Read more about our design process here.

Estimating Your Project

Once you are in love with your design, we will prepare and go through an itemized estimate with you. The costs of your project are based upon our preset pricing sheet, this way we are sure to always be direct & fair when pricing your project. If necessary, we will make any design revisions during this phase to adjust costs.

Our landscape designs start at $750+ and can vary from there depending on the size and complexity of your project. Your consultant will be able to give you your design cost at your first consultation after taking a look at your outdoor space and talking with you about the things you are looking to add or change.

What Is My Rebate Estimate?

Rebate amounts vary depending on the water district you may belong to. Rebate amounts are subject to change based on availability at the time of rebate approval, therefore the estimated amount provided should not be construed as a guaranteed rebate amount.

Most projects with multiple elements will require a design, especially when there are plants and hardscapes involved in the project. If you are just interested in installing a lawn with irrigation, or replacing your driveway then usually no design is necessary. Projects with a singular straight forward focus do not necessarily require a design. Design costs start at $750 and increase in cost depending on the size of the project, size of the space, and how complicated the design may be.
We do have a project minimum of $6K. Our minimum is in place to ensure that we can provide full-time employment to all of our in-house crews (we rarely use subcontractors). For us to do a project we need to send out a crew, truck, and equipment. In order for this to make fiscal sense for our company and for us to be able to continue providing our clients with reasonable prices, each project needs to be of a certain size.

You can expect an itemized bid within 1-2 weeks.
Unless it is a very simple project, you will most likely need a design before getting an accurate bid. We may be able to give you a ballpark estimate depending on whether you know the specifics of what you are looking to get. Such as, the type of material you want to use and how much or how many; having measurements can help with this. It is also helpful for you to have a budget in mind and let your consultant know your budget so he/she can keep this in mind when creating your landscape design and when advising you on the best options for your yard.

Once you’ve approved your design and have signed your installation contract we will set an official date to start your project. Depending on how busy we are at the time the start date can be anywhere from 4-8 weeks out. Depending on the scope of work, jobs can take anywhere from 1 week to 2 months to complete.
We ask for $1,000 deposit or 10% of your project total (whichever is less). We accept cash, check, and credit card payment (3% fee). We do not offer finance plans. Payments for projects are usually divided out over the course of the project timeline. Typically, we invoice after each project week is completed or after a percentage of the project is completed. Ex. 25% complete, 50%, and so on.
We will take a look at your current irrigation system and assess if it will need to be repaired or replaced. Usually, an irrigation system that’s broken will need to be replaced, fixing it can be just as costly as replacing it and there are no guarantees that the fix will be sustainable. If we are the company that installs the plants or sod, it’s beneficial for you to have us install the irrigation as well, this way we can guarantee the plants and sod.
